How To Make Jelly At Home | Jelly for Fruit Salad, Custard | Recipe by Archana | Basic Cooking

Jelly is our favorite!
But many of us don't know how to make it at home!
So, what we do is, go to the market andbuy a pack of Jelly.
So, today I will show you how to make Jelly at home!
Firstly, let the water in this pan come to a boil.
Meanwhile, let's add 3 cups of water to a saucepan.
Add sugar to the water but as per your liking.
Neither too sweet nor too bland.
I am adding 4 to 5 tbsp sugar.
Now, add half a lemon juice to the mixture.
We have here 2 tbsp veg gelatin.
Let's 2 add tbsp water to it.
Mix it well..
..and pour it in a cup.
Now, we have to double boil it.
Water is hot enough.
It has nicely melted.
Now, let's add the melted to gelatin to the water in the saucepan, little at a time.
Sugar has dissolved.
Let it come to a boil.
It has boiled, let's switch off the stove.
We will prepare jelly in two colors (and flavors).
Rose and pineapple.
So, let's divide it in 2 bowls.
Let it cool down for a while.
Now, let's add the essence and color.
Let's add the color (first).
Approximately, half a tsp of lemon yellow color..
..and half a tsp pineapple essence.
Mix it well.
Now, let's add red color to this one..
..and half a tsp rose essence. Let's mix it well.
Let it cool down for a while.
After the mixture has cooled down.
It has cooled down, now let's keep it in the refrigerator.
We will have to wait for 15 minutes.
15 minutes later.
Jelly is nicely set!
It's time to demould it.
It can be easily removed.
You can enjoy this jelly with fruit salad, ice-cream or only by itself!
Now onwards, you won't need to go the marketand buy the jelly packet!
If gelatin is handy, you can prepare various flavors of jellies at home.

Jelly is a mouth watering homemade dessert recipe that can be relished with custard, fruit salad, fresh fruits or just by itself. It is a quick and easy sweet prepared in various flavors. Today we see Pineapple Jelly and Rose Jelly. Ingredients: 3 Cups Water 4-5 tbsp Sugar Juice of 1/2 lemon 2 tbsp Gelatin (veg) 1/2 tsp Lemon Yellow Color 1/2 tsp Pineapple Essence 1/2 tsp Red Color 1/2 tsp Rose Essence Method: - In a sauce pan boil some water. Add sugar and juice of half a lemon. Give a stir. - In a small bowl add gelatin and little water. Mix well. With the double boiling technique cook the gelatin. - Add this gelatin to the boiling water. Let it boil for few more minutes. - Divide this water into two equal bowls. - To one bowl add yellow food color and pineapple essence. Stir well. - To another bowl add red food color and rose essence. Give a stir. - Let both the bowls cool down at room temperature. - Put them in refrigerator to set completely. - Remove the jelly in a serving plate and serve it with fruits.
